Sam Stefanski and Alexys Oliver are the unique pair…

They share a love for set design, a love for collaboration and– wait for it: a love for one another. But don’t let that creep you out. It’s synergy with these two. As co-founders of Concrete Stem, a production design and props styling company, the duo is quickly making waves and expanding their loyal base of clientele by putting their fresh perspective and keen aesthetic to work behind the scenes of the commercial, still and video stage.

This team loves to create sets to accommodate graphic restrictions. Extreme horizontals? Yes please! Specialties include: Creating backstories for models to draw inspiration from. Spearheading fun activities to energize and loosen up on-set talent. Treasure hunting the perfect surface for your product shots. Conceptualizing mood boards to inspire and enhance the depth of your shoot. Concrete Stem conjures your dream vision into action. The perfect yin and yang, masculine and feminine counterparts, Sam hails from a Math and Physics background. Meanwhile, Alexys studied Fashion Design at Columbia College in her native Chicago.

When not employing their preternatural artistic abilities on set, the two continue to renovate and refine their favorite work of art: a home located on an acre of sprawling hills that they call their own. They currently reside in East Los Angeles, with frequent travels to the edges of the universe.
